THE SURVIVAL KIT
In 2013, I decided to settle with my family near Bern. After more than twenty years in Switzerland, I heard the term "migrant" for the first time. One day I met Mayra's Survival Kit - such a wonderful encounter.
MY CHALLENGE: CONDUCT A WORKSHOP AND SET UP A DIALOGUE PLATFORM
Why create a workshop? Knowing that for migrants language is a barrier, I realized the importance of this extraordinary tool as a platform for dialogue and exchange. I wanted it to be accessible to all, regardless of age, economic situation, geographical location, language, or race.
OUTCOME: Participants, migrants and Swiss locals had the opportunity to share their experiences and to identify the emotions that arise during the integration process.
Through the use of creative tools and methods, such as design thinking, I achieved the goal of strengthening the ability to develop one's own strategies for moving forward on the path of integration.

ADULT EDUCATION: HOLA, ¿QUÉ TAL?
I had the opportunity to teach Spanish... y me encantó! I love it because it is my mother tongue, because I love words, and above all because I enjoy teaching. Living in Switzerland allows me to use my language skills in French, German and English and to teach the fundamentals of these languages that we are confronted with every day.
